Our guest bedroom needed to be a sanctuary – a place where visitors could truly relax and feel pampered. Here's how we created a space that guests never want to leave.
Start with the Bed
The bed is everything in a bedroom. We found our beautiful iron bedstead at an antiques fair. It's paired with a high-quality mattress (never skimp on this!) and layers upon layers of natural linens.
Our bedding formula: crisp white sheets, a lightweight linen duvet cover, a vintage quilt folded at the foot, and an abundance of pillows in various sizes.
Thoughtful Touches
It's the small things that make a guest room special: a carafe of water and glass on the nightstand, good reading light, extra blankets in the wardrobe, and a small vase of fresh flowers.
The Colour Palette
We kept things calm and neutral – soft whites, natural linens, and touches of sage green. The exposed wooden beams add warmth without needing to introduce more colour.
